Richard Chenoweth

April 26, 1927 — November 14, 2009

On November 14, 2009, Richard "Dick" Chenoweth of Glen Burnie. Beloved husband of 58 years to Bernice; loving brother-in-law of Ken and Mary Kay Crosby; dear uncle of Carol Guyton, George Crosby, Linda Crosby, and Andrew Guyton. Richard was born in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Richard E. and Viola G. Chenoweth. He enlisted in the Navy Sea Bees from 1945-1946; during that time he served in Guam, and received numerous awards including: Pacific Theatre Ribbon, American Theatre Ribbon, and the Victory Medal. Richard worked as a sheet metal mechanic for Maryland Environmental Systems, and retired in 1991. He was very active in the Glen Burnie Improvement Association, and has been chairman of the Automobile Booth for the last 40 years; he was also very active with the Patapsco Valley AARP #3850 in Linthicum. Some of his hobbies include taking family trips to the American Music Theatre in Lancaster and traveling with the AARP group. Richard will always be known as the family "handyman"; there wasn't anything he couldn't fix.
