Richard Granville Duke, 80, a twenty-three year resident of Severna Park, formerly of Glen Burnie, passed away on September 13, 2012 in his son's home surrounded by family. He was born in Baltimore, MD on November 5, 1931 to the late Thelma and George Duke. Richard served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy from 1951-1955. He was a Baltimore City fire fighter and a member of the American Legion. Richard enjoyed spending time with his family and taking care of their projects around their houses.
Richard is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Mary Lou Duke; loving children, Bruce Duke and his wife Anne, Terri Czorapinski and her husband Dennis, and Glen Duke and his wife Merri; beloved grandchildren, Laura, Keith, Eric, Kyle, Cory, Scott, Sam, and Sawyer; cherished great-granddaughter, Scarlet.
