Richard Goldfield

On December 26, 2008, Richard "Dick" Lester Goldfield of Brooklyn Park, formerly of Northern Virginia; cherished husband of 36 years to Mary Goldfield; loving father of Lisa G. Hott and Eric J. Goldfield; beloved grandfather of Bryan and Steven Hott and James, Nicole, Frank and Sharon Goldfield; dear great-grandfather of two. Richard was preceded in death by his brother William Goldfield. Dick was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1925. Early in life, he was a member of the US Army Air Corps. He studied at Temple University in Philadelphia. During his career, he was in Personnel Administration for the F.A.A. Dick was a member of the American Legion and the Boy Scouts of America where he was a Scout Master. He had an incredible spirit and an amazing sense of humor. He liked to build model airplanes and model ships & air ships. His love of aviation defined his life. He was an avid reader and writer. He liked history, playing chess and was a classic movie buff. His mission in life was to help people.
