Richard "Dickie" Connolly, III, 67, of Glen Burnie and a longtime Anne Arundel County resident, passed away on March 29, 2018. Dickie was born on July 31, 1950 in Baltimore to the late Richard Connolly, Jr. and Betty Connolly. He was the former owner of Premium Electronics in Glen Burnie. Dickie was a member of the AACo. Sports Hall of Fame, MD Softball Hall of Fame and The MD Oldtimers Softball Assoc. He loved softball and the Baltimore Orioles and was the Shortstop and MVP for the Carling's Fast Pitch Softball team. He is survived by his sisters, Deborah Connolly, Cheryl Meyers and her husband, Gilbert Meyers, Jr.; and Ellen Connolly McLaughlin and her husband, Jeff West; his nieces and nephew, Tracy Houghton; Gilbert Meyers, III; Molly, Olivia and Claire McLaughlin.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Tuesday from 3-5 & 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 4th at 10 AM in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment Glen Haven Mem. Park.
