Born on October 16, 1962, Richard was known for his hardworking spirit and his love for his family.Throughout his career as an ironworker, Richard exemplified craftsmanship and dedication. Richard's talents also extended to tinkering, mechanics, and woodworking. He found joy in these pursuits, often drawing leisure from crafting tangible creations with his hands.Richard's personal interests enriched his life and those around him. He enjoyed his '87 truck, and every moment spent driving and maintaining it. Additionally, Richard relished sunny days in his pool, creating cherished memories. His love for his grandchildren was a defining aspect of his life; he cherished the time spent with them and inspired their curiosity and creativity.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 38 years, Donna McCormick; his loving son, Allen McCormick and his wife, Hannah; his beloved grandchildren, Faith Rose McCormick, Audrey Leighann McCormick, Charlotte Gwynn McCormick, and Caroline Grace McCormick. Richard also leaves behind his siblings, Ramon McCormick and his wife, Diane; Debbie Geddings and her husband, Johnnie; and Kim Fique and her husband, Robert.Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Allen and Julia Mae McCormick; his sister, Brenda Shaw; and his brother, Roger McCormick.
His legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will remember him for his craftsmanship, helpfulness, and giving nature.
