Richard J. Shaw, 92, of Linthicum passed away on November 4, 2013. Richard was born in 1921 in Boston, Massachusetts. He grew up in an orphanage, the St. James Home for Boys, which was the same orphanage Babe Ruth grew up in. Richard served in the US Army during WWII from 1942-1946. He held many jobs, including being a truck driver for many places. Richard was a driver for Enterprise where he drove all over the country. He worked his way up from living in an orphanage to living in Beverly Hills for awhile. Richard enjoyed baseball, and even worked as an Usher at Camden Yards. He was a member of the Teamster's Local #557. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Josephine Shaw; daughter, Karen Ryan and her husband Chip; step-children, Janice, Susan, Bob, Steve, and Kevin; 11 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
