Robert Betz

Robert J. Betz, 83, of Glen Burnie passed away on April 29, 2015. Robert was born in 1931 in Dundalk, Maryland. He was a graduate of Dundalk Junior Senior High School, Class of 1948. He served in the US Army from 1952-1954. Robert worked at BWI Westinghouse as an Engineer for 38 ½ years. He was a member of the Ferndale Road Runners. Robert enjoyed traveling, taking road trips, watching the Baltimore Orioles & Ravens, watching MD Terps basketball & football, and mostly watching his granddaughters play volleyball. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Phyllis Betz (nee Wagner); two daughters, Roberta Betz and Linda Tracy and her husband Sean; two granddaughters, Sydney Tracy and Jordyn Tracy; and two sisters, Peggy Bell and Nancy Brillant. He was preceded in death by his son, Don Betz; his brother, Ted Betz; and his parents Julius Betz and Alice Betz-Roday.
