Robert Dean

Robert Turner Dean, 91, of Chester, formerly of Glen Burnie and Ocean City, passed away on November 22, 2016. He was born in North Tonawanda, New York to the late Stephen and Florence Dean. Bob joined the US Army Air Force when turning 18 and served with the 91st Bomb group for two years. He returned to attend Niagara University. He was a triathlete, who enjoyed running, biking and swimming for 30 years and was a member of the Coyote Running Club. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.

Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years, Jeanne Dean; his daughters, Melissa Dean Lauer and Connie Dean Giordano.

He is survived by his children, Robert Dean and his former wife, Terry; Sydney Dean and her husband, Dave McKay, and Amy Swecker and her husband, Dale; his grandchildren, Robert Dean, Terri Hardesty, Lindsay Dean, Alex Dean, Haley Dean, Benjamin Dean, Jamie Swecker and Leigh Anne Lauer; his great-grandchildren, Tyler Custer, Tanner Custer, Landon Dean, and Lily Dean; his great great-grandchildren, Blake and Paisley Custer; his siblings, Martha Murphy, Patricia Roberts and Stephen Dean.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Sunday, Nov. 27th from 12-3 PM. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at Holy Trinity Church on Monday, Nov. 28th at 10 AM. Interment Cedar Hill Cemetery.
