Robert Samuel Garber, 84, of Glen Burnie, passed away on May 1, 2014. Robert was born on September 24, 1929 in Palmyra, Pennsylvania to the late Raymond and Esther Garber. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force as a Staff Sergeant during the Korean Conflict. Robert retired from federal law enforcement and is a member of Friendship Church of the Brethren in Linthicum. He enjoyed barbershop music, photography, camping, and most of all, spending time with his family.
Robert is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Merleen (Cofel) Garber; his loving children, Robert Garber and his wife Denise, and Susan Mitchell; his beloved grandchildren Kristin Harrod and her husband Tommy, Jennifer Mitchell, Robert Garber and his wife Regina, and Lori Mitchell; his cherished great-granddaughter, Hannah Harrod; his dear brothers Bill Garber and his wife Patt, and Carl Garber and his wife Sue. Robert is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Mildred Johnson and Blanche Garber.
