Robert Jones

On June 27, 2008, Robert B. Jones passed on. Robert was dearly loved by his late wife of 54 years, Ruth Catherine Jones; his beloved children, Robert Blaine Jones and Sharon Lynch; his cherished grandchildren, Cody L. and Collin D. Smith; and his late sister, Hazel Hartman. Robert was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1933. He was a member of the United States Marine Corps from January of 1952 to June of 1953 during the Korean Conflict. He served as a Sergeant and earned the Silver Star during the Korean War. He was later with General Motors for 32 years as an Auto Worker. Robert was a member of the D.A.V. and the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation. He loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed many hobbies including racing, fishing, crabbing, and ice hockey. He took pride in his vehicles. Robert was a "People Person". He loved his dogs. He was a man who enjoyed golf and putt-putt. He liked to work in his yard. He was a man who kept his eye open for current events. Robert was a good man who will be missed by many.
