Robert Lawrence Faulkner, 89, of Severn passed away in his daughter’s home on February 14th following a battle with lung cancer. Robert was born on July 5, 1931 in Hillsborough, NC to the late Blanch and Robert Lee Faulkner. He worked for Nello Teer Co., Reliable Construction, JFC Excavating, and Bartley Corp. for over 40 years. Robert enjoyed planting and growing his garden. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially playing with his great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Grace Faulkner; his son, Carlton Faulkner; and his sister, Louise Faulkner. He is survived by his loving children, Joe and Ida Faulkner of Church Hill, MD, Danny and Vickie Faulkner of Severn, MD, Rickie Faulkner and Steven Warthan of Wilmington, NC, Vickie and Kenneth Payne of Sherwood, MD, and Kenny and Terry Faulkner of Odenton, MD; daughter-in-law, Joan Faulkner of Jessup, MD; sisters, Carolyn Wright of Hillsborough, NC and Sally Wynn of Mebane, NC; 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; 3 step-great-grandchildren; and 1 step- great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive visitors at the family owned Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave SW (at Crain Hwy) Glen Burnie on Friday, February 26th from 4-7 PM. Funeral services are private. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are only allowing 50 people inside the funeral home at one time and requiring masks for all visitors. We ask that you please keep your visit brief, as there may be people waiting to get into the funeral home.
