Robert Ruppert

On April 12, 2008, Robert C. Ruppert passed on. Robert was dearly loved by his beloved wife of 49 years, the late Florence Ruppert (nee Gillard); his beautiful daughters, Janet Myers, Janice Young and Patricia Rasheff; his cherished granddaughter, Lauren Myers; his loving parents, the late Henry and Clara Mae Ruppert; his dear sister, the late Irene Thomas; and his caring brother, the late Vincent Ruppert. Robert was born in Cumberland, Maryland in 1920. After graduating from high school, Robert attended the University of West Virginia and Johns Hopkins University. After graduating, he had a long career in the field of accounting. He was an employee of Westinghouse at one point in life. He then worked for the State of Maryland in the Department of Transportation Accounting Department for many years. Robert was a devoted member of the St. Johns Catholic Church in Severna Park. He enjoyed many hobbies in life including reading. He loved cats. He was a collector of both stamps and coins. One of his favorite hobbies in life was spending time with his family. Robert was a dear man and will be missed by many. A Christian Wake Service will be held on Wednesday at 4pm. A visitation will be held before the service from 9-11am on Friday at the funeral home.
