Roderick Harrington

On September 22, 2007, Roderick D. Harrington of Glen Burnie passed away peacefully at his home. He was the loving husband to Barbara Harrington for 27 years; caring father to Stephen, Mitchell, David, Paul and Rachael Harrington; loving step-father to Patrick and Ryan Gilligan and Stacey Price. He was also survived by 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dean and Genevieve Harrington.
Mr. Harrington received his bachelor's degree from Fredonia Teacher's College, majoring in Music Education. He proudly served his country in the US Army where he became a Sergeant Major and received the Legion of Merit Award in 1983. Roderick worked for Ft. Meade for 30 years where he worked with the US Army Field Band and played the French Horn.
In his spare time he enjoyed playing bridge, going camping, traveling, and running.
