Roger William Westphal, 81, of Glen Burnie, passed away at his home on June 15, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born in Austin, MN to the late Alvin Henry and Hazel Grace Westphal. He served in the Air Force from 1960-1964. Shortly after, Roger worked for the Department of Defense and retired after many years of service. Known as the handyman, he enjoyed woodworking and was an avid collector of Peanuts memorabilia, Hess trucks, model cars and various coins and stamps.
Roger is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Judy A. Westphal; loving children, Shari Brandt and her husband, Barry, Greg Westphal and his wife, Christine, Cindy Byler and her husband, Timothy; cherished grandchildren, Heather, Josiah, Cara, Matthew, Benjamin, Patrick, Gracie, Julia and Luke; and dear brother, Willis Westphal.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Monday, June 21st, from 7-9 PM. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, 12 PM, at Grace of God Fellowship, 8302 Elvaton Road, Millersville, with a viewing prior from 11 AM – 12 PM. Interment to follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church.
