On January 9, 2025, Ronald Kimery, age 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and was welcomed to his heavenly home by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Ron is now reunited once again with his wife Jeanne, who was the love of his life for over 61 years.
Ron was the devoted father of Dawn Baker and her husband, Michael, and Randy Kimery Sr. and his wife, Michele. He was a loving grandfather to: Zachary Baker and his wife, Leigh, Randy Kimery Jr. and his wife, Allison, Michaela Baker, Joshua Kimery and his wife, Alexandra, and Ethan Baker. He was the proud great-grandfather to Dominic and Vincent Kimery and Charlotte and Gabrielle Baker.
Ron was born on June 25, 1940 to Martina Ferguson and Elmer Kimery in Nampa, Idaho and grew up in Oregon. Ronald is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Elmer “Loyd”. He is survived by several in-laws and many nieces and nephews.
After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the Navy and served his country from 1958 until he was honorably discharged in 1962. During his time in the Navy, he achieved the rank of Petty Officer Third Class. His job in the Navy was a culinary specialist, where he prepared and served meals for hundreds of men aboard ship. Ron graduated from the University of Baltimore with a degree in accounting in 1970. He had a successful career as an accountant and he was still working at the time of his death.
Ron was a loyal member of TrinityLife in Lutherville, Maryland for over 60 years. He faithfully served as an usher and was a former leader in the boys’ group, Royal Rangers. He also participated in numerous mission trips with the Missions Ministry. He was an active member of the American Legion Post 40.
Ron loved cars, especially Mustangs, and owned many throughout his life. He was never without a cup of coffee in his hands and Dunkin Donuts coffee was his favorite. He enjoyed playing computer games and going on trips. He recently took a trip to North Carolina to connect with sailors who served with him on the U.S.S. Charles S. Sperry. He was also an avid hunter who looked forward to getting the “big” one every year. But more than anything else, he loved his family and he enjoyed spending time with them.
Ron leaves a wonderful legacy and he will be truly missed.
