Ronald Barry Waters was called home by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 14, 2023, after a brief illness. He was born in Salisbury, Maryland on January 19, 1953 to the late Robert Henry Waters and Marie Elizabeth Waters (Truitt). Ronald was affectionately known as Barry, Barr, Ron and Twin by family, friends and co-workers. He started his formal education in the Baltimore City Public School system. He graduated from Andover High School in Linthicum, Maryland. Upon completion of high school, Ronald immersed himself into full time employment. He worked at various businesses throughout the state of Maryland.
Throughout his life, Ronald met many wonderful people and made a plethora of life long friends. He was well known in the neighborhood and community. Some of his favorite past times include watching wrestling and baseball on tv. His favorite spot was standing at the fence in Cedar-Morris hill by “The rec”. Ronald enjoyed spending time outside with his brothers and father. He loved cooking on the grill in the backyard. Later in life, you could often catch him “holding court” on his front porch and talking to all the locals who passed by.
He is survived by his longtime best friend and companion, Diana Britenstine; siblings, Bertha Nutter, Howard Waters (Cynthia), twin brother, Robert Waters, and sister Sharon Wainwright (Ralph); aunts, Anna Purnell and Mabel Foreman (Conwell); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, loved ones and friends.
