Rosalyn Ann Sutton was born on June 17, 1941, in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Robert and Ann Elliott. She departed this life on February 7, 2018. She was raised by her father and his sister, Caroline Matilda Davis.
Rosalyn attended 12 years of Catholic School and majored in Psychology at the University of Maryland. She went on to work at the Social Security Administration as a Systems Analyst and later as an Employee Development Specialist, traveling to various states giving management seminars. Rosalyn was proficient in writing poetry and an excellent seamstress.
Rosalyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph H. Sutton Jr. She is survived by her beloved children from a previous marriage, Eugene A. Wilson, Roxanne M. Lewis and Donna Brown; two step-children, Pamela Sutton-Wallace and Joseph H. Sutton III; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandsons; and three siblings, Barbara Dezmon, Sylvia Scribner and Sheila Ford. Rosalyn is also survived by a special cousin, Andriea Myers and a host of friends and other relatives.
Visitation will be held at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, Glen Burnie, on Tuesday, Feb. 13th, from 5-8 PM. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Feb. 14th, 11 AM, at Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church, 1070 Cecil Avenue South; Millersville, MD 21108. Interment to follow at the church columbarium. Memorial contributions in Rosalyn's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place; Memphis, TN 38105.
