On June 13, 2008, Rose Romanczyk passed on. Rose was dearly loved by her late husband of 23 years, Henry Romanczyk; her lovely daughter, Mary Ann Fieldhouse; her late son, Paul Raymond Romanczyk; and two beloved grandchildren. Rose was born in Dickson City, Pennsylvania in 1918. She studied nursing at the Scranton State Hospital Nursing School from which she graduated in 1936. She was employed by the Mid Valley Hospital in Dickson City, Pennsylvania from 1936 to 1945. In October of 1959, she became a member of the staff at Harbor Hospital, formerly known as S. Baltimore General, in Maryland. There she held the position of Operating Room Nurse. From 1967 to 1980 she was the Director of the Operating Room. In March of 1980 she retired from her career as a Nurse. From 1980 to 2008 she was an active member of the Harbor Hospital Auxiliary where she was president for 10 years. Rose was a member of the St. Bernadette's Roman Catholic Church for many years. She loved spending time with her grandson. She enjoyed many hobbies including gardening. She especially loved the flowers. She loved travelling, especially to Europe and Hawaii. She was a fan of many sports, especially baseball. Rose was interested in Politics. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed sewing and swimming. Rose was a special person who will be missed by many.
