On August 27, Roy L. Coppadge of Glen Burnie. Devoted husband to Mary Pat Coppadge for 40 years; loving father to Melissa and husband Bobby Hodges; caring brother to Bruce Coppadge; devoted grandfather to Emily and R.J. Hodges. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raney and Zula Coppadge. Mr. Coppadge was born in Oklahoma in 1934. He graduated from Eastern High School in Washington, D.C. in 1952. He later graduated from the American University in Washington, D.C. with a B.A. in business. He served 13 years in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Army Reserves during the Korean War era. He later worked for the N.S.A. and retired in 2001 after 41 years of federal service. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Bowie, MD. He was a lector and an usher for the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception Program in Washington, DC. He was an avid Star Trek fan. He also enjoyed watching the Orioles, the Redskins and the Phillies. He liked solving crossword puzzles, especially those in the New York Times.
