Roy E. Marklin, 94, of Arnold, passed away at Baltimore Washington Medical Center on January 26, 2021. He was born in Clarksville, TN to the late Paul and Lillie Marklin. He served his country proudly in the Navy from 1943-1963. Roy was very devoted to his faith and was a longtime member of Elvaton Baptist Church. He enjoyed working on cars, helping neighbors with various projects, welding, camping, traveling and he loved bread. Wherever he went to eat, they had to have biscuits. In addition to his parents, He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret Ann; sons, Allen Bollinger, Raymond, David and Melvin Marklin; and his brother, Paul Marklin.
Roy is survived by his loving children, Morgan Marklin (Susan), Gwendolyn Ward, Karen Phillips (John) and Rosemary Ames (Brian); cherished grandchildren, Morgan Jr., Rebecca, Sharon, Margaret, Chrissy, Heather, Aaron (Michelle), Taylor (Jake) and Ashley (Shane); and many beloved great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors at the family owned Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) Glen Burnie on Sunday, January 31st, from 2:30 - 4:30 PM. Funeral services are private. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are only allowing 40 people inside the funeral home at one time and requiring masks for all visitors. We ask that you please keep your visit brief, as there may be people waiting to get into the funeral home.
