Rudolph 'Sonny' Eisenzopf passed away on the 5th of July in Columbus, Georgia surrounded by his family and friends. Born in Baltimore, Maryland on August 18, 1939 Sonny spent the better part of his life in the Linthicum-Ferndale-Glen Burnie area. He recently moved to Ellerslie, Georgia to be closer to his children, but his heart was always with the people of Anne Arundel County.
Sonny was a long time devoted volunteer with the Linthicum Ferndale Youth Athletic Association. His crowning achievement was overseeing the construction of the association field house which is named in his honor. Sonny was also a journeyman electrician with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 24, and he honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. Sonny is survived by his loving wife Patricia Kellogg Eisenzopf of Ellerslie, Georgia, his daughter Dawn Michelle Dunnigan of Columbus, Georgia, and his son Rudolph John Eisenzopf, III of Lafayette, Louisiana. He also leaves behind two grandsons Timothy Patrick Dunnigan, Jr. and Justin Tyler Dunnigan and two granddaughters Caitlin Kennedy Eisenzopf and Mikayla Chiara Pitts.
Sonny will return home to be buried near his father Rudolph John Eisenzopf, Sr, his mother Janet Tilghman Eisenzopf, and his brother Robert Eisenzopf.
