Russell Bear, Sr

Russell Mark Bear, Sr., was born on September 18, 1947, to Geraldine M. Hayes and the late Samuel S. Bear. He was a loving father to Russell Mark Bear, Jr. (Renee) and Lisa Marie Murray (Fred); cherished grandfather to Shelby Lynn Thibeault, Ryan Avery Bear, Kendall Elizabeth Bear, and Travis Raymond Thibeault; beloved fiancé of 22 years to Terrie Kempf (Florida) and formerly married to Carlotta Jean Osiecki; dear brother to Joseph Bear (Lori) and Diana Whitten.
Russell was a 1965 graduate of Glen Burnie High School and was a Heating and Air Conditioning Contractor by trade. He loved to sing and play guitar, draw, and make jewelry. He was an inventor, a mechanic, and a lover of all things scientific. He was handsome and charismatic; his presence engaging. His heart was tremendous; always willing to help those that asked and never expecting anything in return. Russell's life was centered on family and friends. He frequently returned to Maryland to attend high school reunions to revisit stories of his youth. His energy and uplifting spirit was contagious; always seeing the bright side of life.
Russell was a man full of wonder and ideas; he had a solution for every problem and the ability to make it all better. Although his time with us was short, we are forever grateful for the things he taught us, the words he spoke, and most of all, the time that he spent... loving us with all he had.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave, SW (at Crain Hwy), in Glen Burnie, on Thursday, July 5th, from 11 AM - 1PM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held immediately following in the funeral home chapel. Interment at Meadowridge Memorial Park.
