Ruth Caroline Eszes

     Ruth Caroline Eszes, 97, of Glen Burnie, Maryland, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2023.  She was born in Glen Burnie, on August 24, 1925, to the late Marie and Henry Hagedorn, Sr.   She was a homemaker and stay-at-home mom, devout Christian, and she loved decorating her house, reading, and going to Ocean City.  More than anything, Ruth loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

     Ruth was predeceased by her devoted husband of 51 years, Arthur E. Eszes, Sr.; her beloved son, Arthur E. Eszes, Jr.; and her remembered brothers, Henry, Carl, and Vernon Hagedorn.  She is survived by her loving son, Donald R. Eszes, Sr.; her adored daughter-in-law, Donna; her cherished grandsons, Donnie Eszes, Jr., and his wife Emily, and Michael Scott, Jr.; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Olivia Scott, Emma Eszes, and Donnie Eszes, III.

      Family and friends are invited to gather at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2^nd Avenue, S.W. (at Crain Hwy), in Glen Burnie, on Thursday, July 6^th, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, July 7^th, at 2 PM in the funeral home chapel.  Interment at Glen Haven Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ruth’s name are requested to go to Hospice of the Chesapeake at hospicechesapeake.org .
