Ruth Meerdter

RUTH ANNE MEERDTER, 91 of Severn passed away at her residence on January 21, 2013. Ruth was born on January 22, 1921 in Pittsburgh, PA. She retired as a supervisor after 20 years of service with the Social Security Administration. Ruth also worked for a bakery for five years and worked for the Baltimore County School System until she was 79 years old. She enjoyed playing cards in her younger years, sewing and was a Baltimore sports fan.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Gilbert Meerdter; her son, Tommy Meerdter; and her siblings, Marie Kerin, Betty Long and Bob Rumpf. She is survived by her children, Karen Grube and Gilbert J. Meerdter, Jr.; and her grandchildren, Joseph, Sara and James Meerdter.
