Ruth Ann Seeley

Ruth Ann Seeley, affectionately known as "Nanny" passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025, in Glen Burnie, Maryland, at the age of 80. Born on November 28, 1944, in Baltimore, Maryland, Ruth lived a life rich in love and commitment to her family, embodying values that resonated with all who knew her.

Ruth was devoted to her family, a passion that never wavered throughout her life. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Richard Seeley, and her cherished children, Christine Rasch (Andy), Pamela White (Jeff), and Rick Seeley. Ruth also found immense joy in her grandchildren, whom she adored deeply: Jessica Lint (Randal), Alison Irizarry (Nick), Leah Teague (Nathan), Amelia White, Alexander White, and Gabriella White. Additionally, she took great pride in her great-grandchildren, Sadie, Theo, Luca, and soon-to-be Elsie, as they brought additional light and laughter into her life.

Beyond her family, Ruth had an array of interests that enriched her life. She loved caring for babies and found great fulfillment in nurturing the next generation. In her quieter moments, she enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and word searches, a testament to her sharp mind and love for intellectual challenges. Her heart also danced to the tunes of Elvis, whose music she cherished.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ruth Hawes, and her siblings, Marie VanNoy, Richard Hawes, and Linda Behrendt. Their memories live on in the hearts of those who remain.

As we remember Ruth Seeley, we celebrate a life well-lived, marked by her unwavering love for family and her ability to bring joy to those around her. Her legacy will be carried forward by those who had the privilege to know her. Ruth will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
