Ruth Sockriter

Ruth E. Sockriter, 86, of Glen Burnie, passed away at Baltimore Washington Medical Center on December 14, 2017. She was born in Baltimore to the late Arthur and Matilda Feathers. She retired from the Motor Vehicle Administration after many years. Ruth enjoyed taking bus trips, going to the casinos and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lewis F. Sockriter; and her dear sister, Lorraine Gallagher.
Ruth is survived by her devoted son, Gary L. Sockriter; loving grandchildren, Amanda Sockriter and James Fehrmann; and cherished great-grandchildren, Olivia and Donald Fehrmann.
Visitation will be held at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, Glen Burnie, on Tuesday, Dec. 19th, from 12-1 PM. A Celebration of Life service will immediately follow at 1 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park.
