Ruth Woods

RUTH C. WOODS (nee Jackson), 79 of Severn peacefully departed on July 31, 2013 in Glen Burnie, MD. She was born on January 31, 1934 in Anne Arundel County. Ruth was a member of the American Legion Post 40 Women's Auxiliary, Christ Church Mid-Atlantic, the Red Hat Society, Blue Belle Social Club, Ferndale Club, Hetty Carey Chapter of Confederate Rose and Friends of SCV1608. Ruth enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling and helping people and was an avid Orioles and Ravens fan. She was preceded in death by her son, Edward W. Merson, Jr. and three grandchildren. Ruth is survived by her husband of 53 years, Clarence W. Woods, Sr.; and her children, Della D. Voss, Donna L. Hart, Clarence W. Woods, Jr., Cyndi M. Smith and Tonya A. Carter. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
