Samuel Peter Cannioto, 90, of Glen Burnie, formerly of Rochester, New York, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020. Samuel was born on March 18, 1930, in Rochester, to the late Concetina and Salvatore Cannioto. He served his country proudly in the United States Army during the occupation of Japan in World War II and then the Korean War. He earned his Bachelors of Arts Degree from the University of Rochester. By trade, Samuel was a bricklayer and builder. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Samuel is survived by his beloved daughter, Nicole Fields; his dear son-in-law, Chad Fields; his cherished grandchildren, Tyler Fields, Cassandra Fields, Amelia Fields, and Anthony Fields; his beloved sister, Louise Tambe; and numerous family and friends that loved him.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy), on Thursday, October 1, 2020, from 11 AM – 1 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will immediate follow the visitation.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are only allowing 40 people inside the funeral home at one time and requiring masks for all visitors. We kindly ask that you please keep your visit brief, as there may be people waiting to enter the funeral home.
