Samuel H. Wolford, Jr., 76, a resident of Severn, Maryland for 50 years, passed away on April 26 due to natural causes. Born in Ft. Meade, Maryland, Samuel lived in Severn and attended Arundel Senior High, class of 1953. He worked for 27 years as a postal carrier with the Severn Post Office. He was the recipient of the National Safety Council 25 year "Safe Driver Award". He served in the United States Airforce for three years and received the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. Samuel was a member of the Elks Lodge in Severn and American Legion Post 276. Some of his hobbies include fishing, hunting, playing Yahtzee, and taking bus trips to Dover.
Samuel was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda M. Wolford, his parents, Samuel H. Wolford, Sr. and Beulah Garmong Wolford, and one sister, Julia M. Shai. He is survived by his former wife of 44 years, Marie E. Wolford, and loving children, Allen W. Wolford , Sandra J. Wolford , Anita M. Malinich of Severn, and Virginia E. McLane of Seville, Florida.
