Sandra Shrout

On December 18, 2018, Sandra Lee Shrout (nee Davidson), 75, of Glen Burnie, passed away.  Sandra was born on January 7, 1943, in Greenspring, West Virginia, to the late Mary and Edward Davidson.  She was a Sunday School teacher for many years at Glen Burnie Baptist Church, worked on many election boards, and was an avid fund raiser for various charities.

Sandra is survived by her devoted husband of almost 57 years, James A. Shrout; her loving children, Melissa Sue Shrout and James Alan Shrout and his wife, Aimee Davis-Shrout; her cherished grandchildren, Gerald Ray Hart Jr., Christina Renee Hart-Ellison, Lisa Ashley Hart, Julie Ann Shrout, Nicholas James Shrout, and Alexandria Elizabeth Shrout; her beloved great-grandchildren, Gerald Ray Hart III, Kayden Taylor, and Kinsley Taylor; and her dear sister, Judy Ann Davidson-Merritt.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave, SW (at Crain Hwy), in Glen Burnie, on Sunday, January 6th, from 3-4 PM for a memorial gathering.  A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held immediately following at 4 PM in the funeral home chapel.  Memorial contributions in Sandra’s name may be made to Alzheimer’s Association at  www.alz.org.
