Scott James Furley, 38, of Pasadena passed away on August 5, 2014. Scott was born in 1976 in Baltimore, Maryland. He graduated from Overlea High School and then attended Johnson and Wales University. Scott worked as a Dispatcher for John Ritter Trucking Company. He was a member of the Free Masons - Columbia Lodge in Frederick, MD, was a past president of St. Andrews Society of Mid-Maryland; and was a member of DECA and the Police Explorers. Scott enjoyed bowling, Dungeons and Dragons, Magic the Gathering, video games, comedy shows, and all "geekery" in general.
He is survived by his mother, Barbara Hudgens; step-father, Greg Hudgens; sister, Genny Furley; brother, Patrick Furley, Jr.; and two step-sisters. He was preceded in death by his father, Patrick Furley, Sr.; grandmother, Dorothy Cottrell; and grandfather, Robert Deeds, Sr.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Scott's name to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, Philanthropy Dept., 90 Ritchie Highway, Pasadena, MD 21122.
