Scott R. Norris, a proud member of the United States Navy and a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on March 2, 2025, at the age of 77 in Glen Burnie, Maryland. Born on May 13, 1947, in Arlington, Virginia, Scott's life was marked by dedication to his family and service to his country.

Scott's military career was distinguished; he retired as a Chief Warrant Officer 4 (CWO4) from the U.S. Navy, where he served with honor and commitment. His legacy of service is a testament to his character and dedication.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Aurora B. Norris; his daughter, Criselda Johnson; and his son, George Norris, III. He also leaves behind his son-in-law, Jeremiah Johnson, and three grandchildren, Jeremiah Johnson II, Taylor Johnson, and Cody Johnson, who were a source of immense pride and joy for him. Additionally, his brother, George W. Norris, Jr., mourns his loss.

Scott was not only known for his military service but also for his passions beyond the uniform. He found great joy in baseball, both in playing and watching, sharing this love with his family. He also dedicated his time and skills to the Boy Scouts of America, serving as an Assistant Scout Master, where he influenced and mentored many young lives. Scott also had a love for bowling.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Eileen Norris; his son, Brian J. Norris; and his sister, Nikki Flug. 

A visitation to honor Scott R. Norris will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services PA, located at 1 2nd Ave SW, Glen Burnie, MD 21061. Scott will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery, alongside his son, Brian Norris.

Scott's memory will live on through his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His integrity, kindness, and love will be profoundly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society by visiting www.cancer.org
