On, November 18, 2017, Sebastian S. Valenti, 84, of Glen Burnie, passed away at his home. Sebastian was born on August 9, 1933, in Baltimore, MD, to the late Marie and Charles Valenti. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army and went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Baltimore. He was Assistant Warden for the Department of Corrections in Baltimore, and then was promoted to Warden of the Maryland House of Correction in Jessup. Sebastian was a member of the Sons of the Severn singing group and the VOLS. He enjoyed playing cards, working with stained glass, and wintering in Florida, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Sebastian is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Joan C. Valenti; his loving son, Michael C. Valenti and his wife Betty; his beloved grandchildren, Lauren Langley and Amanda Valenti; his cherished great-grandson, Wyatt Langley; and his dear siblings, Charles Valenti, John Valenti, and Josephine Brandenburg. He was predeceased by his brother, Louis Valenti.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave, SW (at Crain Hwy), in Glen Burnie, on Friday, November 24th, from 3-5 and 7-9 PM. A Celebration of Life Service was held on Saturday, November 25th, at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment at Glen Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Sebastian's name may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake, 90 Ritchie Hwy, Pasadena, MD 21122.
