Sgm Army

On June 28, 2009, John Baglama, a resident of Glen Burnie for over 30 years. Beloved husband of Eleanor Baglama and the late Helen Baglama; loving father of Dennis George and Terry Baglama, and the late Michael Baglama; cherished grandfather of Jennifer, Sara, Kiley, Shauna, and Tyler; devoted great grandfather of Gavin and Nathan; dear brother of George "Gus" Baglama and the late Ann Maguran. John was born in Ohio to the late George and Josephine Baglama. After high school, John enlisted in the United States Army, and served for 29 years, retiring as Sgt. Major. During his service, he received Good Conduct Medal, Recruiting Badge, and Meritorious Service Medal. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Moose Lodge, Partners in Care, and Stoney Creek Democratic Club. He enjoyed bowling, baseball, gardening, playing cards ("gaming"), golfing, and was very active in St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
