Sheila M. Gentry

Sheila M. Gentry, 61, departed from us on October 30, 2024. Born in the heart of Baltimore on December 28, 1962, Sheila was the cherished daughter of Helen Elizabeth and the late Robert S. Miller Jr. Her spirit shone brightly in everything she did, from the gentle touch of her hands as she nurtured flowering gardens to the joyful laughter that echoed through the halls of the daycare where, in her younger years, she devoted her days to caring for children. Sheila’s creativity blossomed in her passion for crafting and painting, transforming simple materials into heartfelt expressions of love. She reveled in the beauty of each season and the vibrancy of life that accompanied her garden. An ardent animal lover, Sheila's home was a sanctuary for many—a testament to her boundless compassion and nurturing heart. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert S. Miller III.

Sheila is survived by her husband, James R. Gentry III; loving mother, Helen E. Miller; loving daughters, Shannon Gentry and Abrielle Gentry (Rob Showalter); and her cherished grandchildren, Savannah Choate and Chad King Jr.
