SHERAN LEE TURNER BOOTH, 68, a lifelong resident of Odenton, passed away peacefully at home on her late son's birthday February 1, 2014 after a long illness. Sheran was head cheerleader at Arundel High School and was also named Miss Alpine. She went on to attend University of Maryland, Baltimore Campus, in which she was crowned Homecoming Queen her freshman year in 1964. She belonged to the Daughters of the American Revolution and Maureen Duvall Society. Sheran was an accomplished cosmetologist in the area for 30 years and interior decorator. She loved dancing and gave disco lessons at Teresa's. She did some modeling in the past and graduated from John Robert Powers School and Modeling Agency. She was employed with Avis car rental, Crofton Convalescent Center, Snips and Miracles.
Sheran loved music, Yellow Birds, Pink Squirrels, Barry White, fashion, "diamonds", decorating, anything contemporary, her dad, Joan Rivers, Wanda Sykes, The Supremes, Eggplant Parmigian, five cup salad, mincemeat with hard sauce and the planning and organizing of almost anything, particularly weddings.
She is the beloved wife of 37 years to George A. Booth; devoted mother of the late Ashley Clay Booth; cherished daughter of Gayle Hevener Turner and the late Russell Clay Turner; dear sister of Saundra Jay Hatch; caring niece of Hope Hevener Thompson; loving aunt of Neal Hatch, Lisa Majikas and three great-nieces.
