Sheri Melia Fuller of Silver Spring, MD, died on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 from complications following a long-standing battle with Crohns Disease.
Ms. Fuller was born on September 2, 1972 in Oahu, Hawaii. She is survived by her parents, Colonel (USAF, Retired) Monroe and Barbara Fuller, and her three siblings: Tamara Fuller of Alpharetta, Georgia, Daryl Fuller of Orange Park Florida, and J. Stephen Fuller of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Ms. Fuller graduated from Fort Meade High School in Fort Meade, MD, in 1990, where she lettered in softball. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Fine Arts and Communications from Towson State University in 1994, with a Major in Mass Communications and a Minor in Art. At Towson State, she played Division I softball and worked on the college's newspaper, The Towerlight.
Ms. Fuller was employed as Business Development Manager for the Washington, DC Metro area operations of Radio One. She was also an on-air, commercial voice talent for a wide range of local, regional and national established brands. Previously, she had served for fourteen years as Senior Vice President of Sales for Network Publications of Baltimore. She was a member of the American Advertising Federation.
Ms. Fuller enjoyed writing short stories and poetry, traveling, and spending evenings with her beloved cat "Stevie". She was also an avid fan of the Baltimore Orioles and Baltimore Ravens.
In accordance with her wishes, Ms. Fuller's ashes will be scattered off the shore of her birthplace on the Hawaiian island of Oahu. A gathering of friends and family will take place on July 26, 2015 at BWI Ramada - Grand Ballroom from 3-5 PM.
