Shirley "Bill" Kain, 83, of Glen Burnie passed away on May 11, 2014. Bill was born on November 21, 1930 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy from 1950-1956, achieving the rank of Quarter Master Third Class. Bill worked for Baltimore Gas and Electric for 25 years as a draftsman and was a youth baseball umpire at North Glen and Lake Shore. He enjoyed bowling and going to the casinos.
Bill was predeceased by his devoted wife of 55 years, Josephine "Jo" Kain, his daughter, Virginia "Jenny" Pardoe, and four brothers; he is survived by his loving children, Melinda "Linda" Heath, Carolyn Margenthaler, and Michael Kain; twelve beloved grandchildren; three cherished great-grandchildren; and his dear sister, Dorothy Simms.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill's name to the National Parkinson's Foundation, Office of Development, 1501 NW 9th Ave/Bob Hope Road, Miami, FL 33136-1494.
