Shirley Walls

Mrs. Shirley M. Walls, 79, of Glen Burnie, Maryland went home to be with the Lord on October 13, 2010. Shirley was born in Severn, MD in 1931. She was a former waitress at Lockermanns in Odenton and White Coffee Pot in Harundale. Shirley worked at Westinghouse in Linthicum as a Quality Control Inspector & Teacher for over 31 years. As a child, Shirley was a member of Delmont Methodist Church. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Glen Burnie. Shirley enjoyed sitting on the beach, reading, playing bingo, crocheting and spending time with her family. She also had a love of Tweety Bird. She was the beloved wife of 58 years of Grant Walls; devoted mother of Wendy Greenwaldt, Kim Shifflett and Linda Neslein; dear sister of Gloria Smith and Yvonne Pierce; loving grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother of 4, and was also awaiting the arrival of 2 great-grandchildren. Shirley is also survived by her 3 cherished pekingese, Tojo, Tea` and Mia. She was preceded in death by 5 siblings, Violet Higdon, Audrey Phelps, Wilbert Phelps, Marlin Phelps and Donald Phelps; her parents, Jasper & Osa Phelps; and a son-in-law, Brian Greenwaldt.
