Sophie Endrich, 90, of Queen Anne, Maryland, formerly of Glen Burnie, Maryland passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2023. She was born in Louise, West Virginia, on April 16, 1933, to the late Mary (nee Fisher) and George Nickoles. She was one of 15 children.
Sophie was a homemaker and stay-at-home mom, devout Christian who loved playing the guitar, singing--especially yodeling, and playing games, dice, and cards. More than anything, she loved spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandson, and the granddaughter she never actually had, Sarah Marcoot, who called her "Nana."
Sophie was predeceased by her devoted husband Joseph Endrich, Jr.; her beloved son, Joseph S. Endrich; and her remembered siblings, Martha Javorski, Annie McClelland, Minnie Robins, Becky Hoggard, and Sammy, John, Joe, Steve, George, and Louie Nickoles. She is survived by her loving son, Louis M. Endrich Sr.; daughter-in-law, Phyllis, grandson, Louis Endrich Jr.; and her dear siblings, Mark, Michael, Danny, and Rudy Nickoles.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Avenue, S.W. (at Crain Highway) in Glen Burnie, on Thursday, June 29th from 5-8 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, June 30th, at 11 AM, in the funeral home chapel. Interment in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Brooklyn Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Sophie's name are requested to go to Compass Hospice at compassregionalhospice.org.
