Stanley William Kazmerski 82 of Ferndale, died Thursday, August 27, 2009, at Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie. He was born March 13, 1927, in Brooklyn, Maryland. Stanley was the son of the late Frank Kazmerski and Katherine Bernoski Kazmerski. He was the husband of Mary Lou Fowble Kazmerski, his wife of over 50 years. Stanley attended Glen Burnie High School. He served as a fireman for the U.S. Navy at Patuxent River Naval Air Station and retired after 41 years as a Technician for the Naval Research and Development Center in Annapolis, MD. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, James Kazmerski and his wife Dale of Glen Burnie; four daughters, Joan Fitzhugh and her husband Jay, of Finksburg; Mary Kay Kazmerski and her husband Boyd Sprehn of St. Thomas; Shirley Lang and her husband Dennis of Eldersburg, Julie Kyle and husband John of Elkridge and seven grandchildren, Thomas, Sarah, Jessica, Kiersten, Kate, Sandra and Stephen. He is also survived by a brother John Kazmerski and several nieces and a nephew. Stanley was predeceased by a brother, Edward Kazmerski. Stanley and his wife Mary Lou enjoyed an active social life which included ballroom dancing, traveling and spending time with their family and numerous friends. Stanley was a member of the Elks Lodge #2266 of Glen Burnie, American Legion Post #195, the Glen Burnie Moose Lodge 1456 and St. Philip Neri Church in Linthicum.
