Stephen “Steve” J. Andrzejewski passed away on September 7, 2023 at his home in Harmans where he lived with his wife and family for 66 years.
He was the son of Joseph F. Andrzejewski and Annie (nee Mielke) Andrzejewski. He was born on the family farm in Millersville on September 1, 1927. He lived and worked on the family farm until he got married in 1957.
Steve was married to Shirley J. Andrzejewski; the father of Sharon G. Brown and her husband, Dennis of Columbia, MD; and Stephen D. Andrzejewski and his wife, Laura of Bonita Springs, FL. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Sierra G. Brown and her husband, Chris; Holly V. Brown and Isaac W. Brown.
Steve had three brothers, Martin, Joseph, and Frank Andrzejewski and two sisters, Maryanne Mills and Margaret Schlundt.
He retired from Walter Reed Forensic Toxicology Drug Testing Laboratory at Fort Meade where he worked as a Vehicle Operator. He had 30 years of Federal service.
Steve was an avid gardener and shared the produce with family and friends. He took great pride in maintaining his lawn. Nobody ever left his home without being offered food to eat or vegetables from the garden.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Monday, Sept. 11, 2023 from 2-7 pm. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at Christ the King (Holy Trinity) Catholic Church on Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2023 at 1 PM. Interment to follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers please make donations in Steve’s name to Christ the King Catholic Church or Hospice of the Chesapeake, Pasadena, MD.
