Susan Hewitt

Susan Carol Hewitt, 59, of Glen Burnie, passed away on August 7, 2017. She was born on February 18, 1958, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Agatha and Robert Ehlers. She graduated from Glen Burnie High School in 1976. Susan currently worked at Harbor Hospital in the ICU as a unit secretary, but she also worked at Baltimore Washington Medical Center in the ER and the Heart Center as a unit secretary. She enjoyed camping, traveling, going to Ocean City, and was a wine connoisseur.
Susan is survived by her devoted husband of 32 years, John E. Hewitt, Sr.; her beloved children, Steven Halley, John E. Hewitt Jr., and Emily Hewitt; her four cherished grandchildren, Sierra Halley, Shawn Meyer, Penelope Hewitt, and Allison Hewitt; and her dear brother, Marty Ehlers and his wife, Janine.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Thursday, August 10th, from 3-5 and 7-9 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, August 11th, at 12 noon in the funeral home chapel. Interment MD Veterans Cemetery - Crownsville. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the SPCA of Anne Arundel County, 1815 Bay Ridge Avenue, Annapolis, MD 21403.
