Sylvia Joanne Bunoski died February 14th at the Greater Baltimore-Washington Medical Center following complications after a stroke. The former Sylvia McLouski was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania on July 22, 1932. Her father, who owned a lumber and sawmill operation, died when she was 12. She resided with her mother and brother in Larksville, Pennsylvania. She was a graduate of Marymount High School in Wilkes-Barre. In 1953 she married Richard Louis Bunoski and moved to Glen Burnie, Maryland. She had three children and worked as a homemaker through the 1950's and 1960's. She was actively involved with civic and political organizations during that time. In the 1970's she worked as a travel agent, managing the Comprehensive World Travel Agency. She specialized in arranging worldwide travel for the doctors at nearby Johns Hopkins Hospital. She was also an accomplished world traveler. After her retirement, she and her husband spent time together at their residences in Glen Burnie and South Bethany, Delaware. She was an artist and had her work displayed at the Anne Arundel County Library in Glen Burnie. Her husband, Richard Bunoski, died in 2000. Her brother, Raymond McLouski, died in 2009. She is survived by her three children, David and Steven Bunoski and Lissa LeVine. She had seven grandchildren, Rebecca and Adam Bunoski, Matthew and Ashley LeVine, Sean Bunoski, Steven LeVine and Shannen Bunoski. She had one great-grandchild, Brynn LeVine, six months old.
