Sylvia J. McKnight

      Sylvia J. McKnight, 87, died on March 5, 2024 of natural causes. She was born in Dixmore, Illinois, the last of nine children. She graduated from the University of Illinois and then taught High School Biology. Her marriage to James McKnight, then a young Army LT. provided many years of exciting travel both in the United States and abroad. She was a dedicated, loving wife and a fabulous mother to their three daughters, April, Mary and Laura. Her Real Estate career was a source of pride and accomplishment as was her involvement as a Troop Leader in the Girl Scouts. She loved her twelve grandchildren, nieces, nephews and spread kindness, good will and the spirit of giving to all. 

                                       Services will be held privately with the family.
