Terry L. Castle

Terry Lynn Castle, of Glen Burnie, a highly esteemed contractor with Northrop Grumman and a retired Petty Officer 1st Class in the United States Navy, departed this life peacefully on December 9, 2024, at the age of 80. Born on September 15, 1944, in Baltimore to the late Anthony and Luella Castle. 

Terry’s military career in the Navy was marked by honor and distinction, where he proudly retired at the rank of Petty Officer 1st Class in 1983. After his military service, he transitioned into a successful career as a contractor with Northrop Grumman, where he applied his skills and knowledge to contribute meaningfully to various projects.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Terry had a particular fondness for lighthouses, often expressing their beauty and significance in his conversations. Terry also found joy in golfing and playing pool, activities that allowed him to connect with friends and family alike. Moreover, he devoted much of his spare time volunteering to help youth groups, mentoring and supporting young individuals in their personal development. 

He is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon Castle; his devoted children, Heidi Castle-Smith (David Smith), and Timothy Castle (Sandy Castle); his loving grandchildren, Jaime, Elizabeth, Alexander, Carolyn and Gabrielle; his great-grandchildren, Mallory, Cassidy and Adalyn; and his dear brother, Lance Pailer (Jerry Pailer). 

Terry dedicated his life to both his country and his community, leaving behind a legacy of service and commitment. As we reflect on his remarkable life, we honor his contributions and the values he instilled in others, ensuring that his spirit will live on in the hearts of many.
