Theodore Sophocleus

Theodore "Ted" John Sophocleus, 79 of Linthicum, loving husband, father, grandfather, pharmacist owner of Ted's Pharmacy in Linthicum and a dedicated public servant passed away peacefully with family at his side on June 8, 2018. Ted was born on May 28, 1939 in Baltimore to the late John and Despina Sophocleus. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Alice Sophocleus (nee Over); his children, Evangeline Weese (Franklin), Elena Thomas (Steven); his grandchildren, Ronald Taylor (Katelyn); Nicholas Smith, Tristan Furrow, Despina and Christian Thomas; his brothers, Dr. Gregory Sophocleus; Sophoclis Sophocleus (Ann). He is also survived by three nieces, two nephews, four great nieces and four great nephews. Ted was preceded in death by his daughter, Dina Furrow; and his sister-in-law, Electra Sophocleus.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Wednesday, June 13th from 4-8 pm and Thursday, June 14th from 2-4 & 7-9 pm, a Trisagion Service will be held at 7:30 pm. Mr. Sophocleus will Lie-in-State at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation, 24 W. Preston St., Baltimore, MD 21201, on Friday from 10:30-11 AM, the funeral hour. Interment Greek Orthodox Cemetery, Woodlawn.
