Theodore “Ted” John Ingson, 82, of Glen Burnie passed away peacefully on Jan. 3, 2019 surrounded by his family.
Ted was born in Annapolis to the late Valentin and Mary(Santas) Ingson and raised in Baltimore. He graduated from Calvert Hall and The University of Toronto. He married the former Ann Marie Joyce on Sept. 29, 1962. During his childhood he developed a strong work ethic that he carried throughout his life, and retired after an accomplished career with the Department of Defense. He enjoyed, traveling, bowling, telling jokes, and collecting. His sense of humor stayed even until the end. Ted cherished relationships and was a devoted husband and family man. He absolutely adored his grandchildren and was a loyal friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Vincent and Philip Ingson. He is survived by his beloved wife, Ann Marie Ingson; loving children, Monica Orr (Scott), Matthew Ingson (Jill), and Michael Ingson (Ellen); grandchildren, Carley, Deanna, Allie, Mia, and Annabel; a devoted cousin Rose Wickless; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, 1 2nd Avenue, SW (at Crain Highway), Glen Burnie, on Thursday, Jan. 10th, from 11-1 PM. Services will follow at 1 PM, in the funeral home chapel. Inurnment Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville at a later date. Memorial Contributions in Ted’s name can be made to Gilchrist Hospice 11311 McCormick Rd., Ste. 350, Hunt Valley, MD 21031.
