Thomas Alt, Sr

Thomas J. Alt, Sr., 83, of Glen Burnie, died August 17 at his residence.
He was born on February 12, 1930 in Baltimore to the late Frederick and Alice Alt. Mr. Alt was a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp Reserves, serving in the Korean War. He retired from the Baltimore City Fire Department after 35 years of service. He was a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church. Mr. Alt most enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers Jerome and Joseph Alt and sisters Mildred Airey and Betty Capo.
Mr. Alt is survived by his devoted wife, Mary; children Mary Hayes of Linthicum and her fiancé Bill Gabinet, Thomas Alt, Jr. of Baltimore and his wife Anna, Bridget Moon of Glen Burnie and her husband Milton, Robert Alt of Glen Burnie and his wife Diana, Elizabeth Knofski of Baltimore and her husband Fred and Patricia Meade of Glen Burnie and her husband John; brother Michael Alt of Glen Burnie and sister Alice Ann Krueger of Linthicum.
