Thomas Grimm

On September 13, 2007, Thomas T. Grimm Sr. of Gambrills passed away at home. He was 85. Beloved husband of 55 years to the late Norma Jane Grimm; Loving father of Thomas Jr. and John Jeffrey Grimm; Cherished grandfather of Jeffrey Jacob Grimm. He is predeceased by 10 brothers and sisters. Born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, Tom was a resident of Grambrills since 1961. He served his country as a member of the United States Air Force for 21 years. Tom was a Warrant Officer and a Master Sergeant. He then went to work as a supervisor for the Department of Public Works for Anne Arundel County. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge #209 in Odenton. Tom was also a lifetime member of the VFW Meade Memorial Post #5172 also in Odenton. He belonged to the National SoJourners and served as past president. Tom was also a Scoutmaster with Troop 755-BSA as well as a member of the Appalachion Trail Society. Tom had hiked the entire Appalachion Trail - from Maine to Florida! He enjoyed going to military events & shows and attended a few military reunions as well. Tom also enjoyed ballroom dancing with his late wife and spending time outside in his vegetable garden. He had a true love of life and he will be sorely missed.
